A coprolite is fossilized animal dung. Coprolites are considered to be trace fossils as opposed to body fossils.  They allow scientists to study the animal’s activities (such as their dietary habits) rather than their body aspects. They were first identified by William Buckland in 1829. Before that, they were called "fossil fir cones" and "bezoar stones." They are particularly important to palaeontologists because they present straight support of the predation and regime of animals that have become extinct. 

Keichousaurus is a species of aquatic reptile in the pachypleurosaur family which.  They became died out at the close of the Triassic in the Triassic-Jurassic extinction event. The name comes from the fact that it was first discover in Kweichow (now Guizhou Province), in 1957. Keichousaurus are among the most common sauropterygian fossils found and are often recovered as near complete, articulated skeletons, making them highly sought after among collectors.
